Nothing more nothing less

“Therefore David inquired again of God, and God said to him, ‘You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines’.” 1 Chronicles 14:14-15, NKJV.

King David inquired of the Lord twice with fighting the Philistines and God gave him detailed instructions regarding each of those decisions before him. David did nothing more and nothing less than what God told him and he won each battle.

When you ask God what should you do regarding a decision or challenge before you, God will not only tell you what to do, but also when and how to do it. When He does, do nothing more and nothing less than what He says. Victory is in the details. Grace and favor are found in the details. If God says take two steps and then turn, don’t take three. If He leads you to enjoy yourself, and go on a short vacation, don’t take a long one. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us. He is our Helper. It is up to us to follow His lead and do nothing more, nothing less.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for always being present to help me and You know what’s best for me. As I seek You regarding the decisions before me or what I’m facing, show me exactly how to handle it. Help me to trust You, and do nothing more and nothing less than what You say. That is all I need to do to be blessed and victorious. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

By one man

“For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ” Romans 5:15 & 17, NKJV.

I’m glad one man made everything alright. By one man Adam, sin entered into the world and death by it, but by one man Jesus Christ, the gift of grace and righteousness now abounds towards you.

God wants it to make sense to you and that you freely receive that one man set you free. If it only took one man to make you bound, it makes sense that by one man you’re now made free. If by one man you had trouble, by one man you’ve been delivered and can overcome all trouble. By one man you became powerless, and now by one man you have power.

Adam brought the anchor to your sin, but now Jesus is the anchor of your righteousness. The anchor of your salvation and redeemer. Where sin abounded, grace abounds much more. One man started it, but one man finished it. One man was a a key that locked the door, but one man was the key that opened every door for you. You are free to be all that God has called you to be.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your abounding grace. Thank you Jesus for redemption and righteousness. I stand in you without sin. You have made me free indeed. One man made everything alright. Help me to let go of everything behind me and press forward. I can reign in life through Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Go to war for your brother in prayer

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:3-4, NKJV.

Prayer isn’t just for you. Prayer is also for someone else. There are men that are lost and seeking a way out of what they’re facing. There are men that Satan is attacking them aggressively–one thing after another. There are men facing pivotal decisions, fighting for their marriages, seriously considering turning to God, trying to live right, desiring to let go of a homosexual lifestyle, seeking God’s will for their life, just lost a loved one, and they are in need of your help through your powerful prayers.

Don’t let them fight alone. Go to war for your brother. Our weapons are not carnal, or natural, but are spiritual and mighty through God. Pray to God on their behalf and loose the entanglements of the wicked one, and help them triumph. Trust God that He hears and answers your sincere requests.

Prayer: Father, I give all the glory, honor and praise today. I first war in prayer for my brothers out there. I come against all the plots of the wicked onel on my brother’s behalf. I bind you Satan in Jesus name! You will not have your way in their lives and not mine! I rebuke all principalities and demonic forces in pursuit to destroy them. God, have Your way in their life instead. Bless them instead Father. Bless their heart and mind to receive Your word and to hear Your mighty counsel. Open the eyes of the lost that they may see fully the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Light their way Father. God of all Comfort, please comfort the men who have lost their spouse or child. Cause them to completely trust and put their faith in You! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Be found faithful and wise when he comes

“And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes” Luke 12:42-43, NKJV.

In these times, don’t be the believer that is not looking for the Lord’s coming and who is drawn away by the pleasures of this world. These are those who lay down their love for God, for people, and advancing His kingdom. Things they once deemed important will take a back seat, and the love of God is squeezed out and their conscience seared. This person says with their heart my Lord is delaying His coming, so I’ll have time to get back on track later. There is a clear distinction being made between those who are looking for him, looking to be found faithful and wise, and those who are not.

Be encouraged to continue to devote your life, your time and your energy to God. Don’t get discouraged when you make a mistake, but quickly get back up because you know the love God has for you. Work out your own salvation with a deep reverence, joy and gladness. Be a faithful and wise servant. We have a God to serve and to glorify. He is our portion and He has an abundant portion appointed for us in this life and in the life to come!

Prayer: Father, I give You praise today. Thank you Jesus. I ask that You help me to continue to look for your return. Keep my heart pure and help me to continue to be a wise and faithful man. Forgive me if I’ve allowed anything to turn my heart away and let it be turned back to You today. Let Your purpose and will be done in me, and may I be found doing exactly what you’ve told me to do when you come. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Let him use you

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” Matthew 5:16, NKJV.

“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” Romans 5:5, NKJV.

When a car needs oil, the most effective way to get that oil into that car is by way of a funnel. You are a funnel of God. You are a funnel of His love, His wisdom and light. You are a funnel to be used to break down the hardest of hearts, shatter the ceiling of fear and free others to go higher in God.

The Holy Spirit says let Me flow through you. There is much repair to do and change lives, but we have to let Him use us. The love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by His Spirit, and God’s desire is that you yield and let Him pour it out all around you. Like a running faucet, be willing to let Him use you everywhere you go, in everything you say and do today.

Prayer: Father, You can use me today. Help me to yield and allow Your love to flow through me to others, to bring joy in someone life’s today. People have secret needs of healing, repairs in their lives, and a building of faith. People need to know experience You today. Help me to make it easy and just lead me Holy Spirit to be a funnel of You. Pour and encourage others. Pour and save others today. In Jesus name, Amen.

The prayer life of Jesus

“So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed” Luke 5:16, NKJV.

Jesus had a huge ministry and it required of him a lot. It primarily required him to remain plugged into God and to be sensitive to the will of the Father. Most of all, He loved God. Therefore, he not only prayed to God in the morning, he prayed often. He spent time with Him often.

Jesus’ prayer life is our example. At some point during your day, God is going to move on your heart to withdraw from everyone and everything, to a deserted place to pray. Do not quench His Spirit, but rather yield and be led into spending time with God. Give Him praise and fellowship with the Father, and watch Him add strength to you and reveal something you need to know. You may be experiencing something weighing on you and He will remove it. In that time given to Him, He will replenish you, give clarity in your day and mightily bless your life.

Prayer: I thank You Father that I can come to you and pray not only in the morning, but anytime. You are the strength of my life. Help me to be sensitive to when You speak to me to withdraw from everything, even if it’s for five minutes, to spend quality time with You. Help me to be like Jesus and do it often. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Desire a hearing ear

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” John 10:27, NKJV.

Now in this season you want to have a hearing ear more than ever before. You want to hear God’s voice of comfort, direction, wisdom, and strength. When you are considering making a decision, but you hear God’s voice tell you it’s not time yet. When you’ve been working at a company for years, but you hear God’s voice and He tells you it’s time to leave. You don’t fully understand, but you know you heard Him speak, leading you toward a change or into something new for your life. When You hear Him say there’s the open door, tell them about Me.

Ask God to develop a hearing ear in you and to trust in what He says. The hearing of His voice helps you to follow Him, not a stranger. He is leading you into being like Jesus, into blessings, protection, and into the awesome plans He has for you.

Prayer: Father, I ask for a hearing ear. I have to hear You in these times and in this season of my life. I want to make all my decisions with You. I want to share Christ with those You desire me to. I want to always be in Your perfect will. I am Your sheep and I declare I can hear You and I thank You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
